About Us
The Federal College of Agricultural Produce Technology, Kano is the training arm of the Nigerian Stored Produce Research Institute (NSPRI), a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The College started in 1975 as school of Food Storage Technology under the Kano sub-Station of the institute.

Students’ Organizations, the Students’ Union or individual students who wish to issue press release or to address a Press Conference, must make copies of the release available to the Provost through the Students’ Affairs Officer and Registrar for comments and approval before the release is made or the Conference is held.

Message From Provost
I must first of all congratulate all students for getting admission to study various programmes in the College. This is additionally important in view of the large number of applicants seeking for admission into the College. The College is owned by the Federal Government of Nigeria, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. It has the major mandate of training middle level manpower in agricultural produce technologies for enhanced development of the country. It is endowed with an array of qualified and dedicated staff and relevant facilities for training students in relevant programmes they are admitted into. The students are advised to thoroughly read and understand the contents of the handbook. They should abide by the rules and regulations guiding their stay at the College. Students should specifically not be involved in examination malpractice, cultism, destruction of public properties and other acts that may lead to their expulsion or other disciplinary measures. Students should instead concentrate on their studies by proper attendance of lectures, practical classes, SIWES programme etc. so that they will complete their studies with good results. I wish all students of the college success in their studies.
